The Ergonomics of Pipetting White Paper

 Repetitive Strain Injuries

Get the Knowledge to Protect Yourself

Pipetting is a forceful and repetitive activity, and it is now widely accepted that there is a strong association between pipetting forces and the occurrence of developing Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI's). In fact, pipetting for just over an hour a day over the course of a year is enough to put you at risk, and these risks tend to increase with workload and age.

But for most scientists pipetting is an unavoidable daily task, so reducing or even preventing your risk of RSI should be high on your list of priorities. The best way to start protecting yourself is by ensuring you have all the correct facts and advice available about which conditions pose or increase your risk.

Rainin, who pioneered the development of ergonomic pipettes, have published ‘The Ergonomics of Pipetting’. This White Paper delves into a number of known causes of Repetitive Strain Injuries and looks at how the risks can be reduced. It also provides recommendations of how to help minimize your chances of developing RSI’s.

‘The Ergonomics of Pipetting’ White Paper is available to download. alternatively you can phone 01582 455135 or email response@anachem.co.uk and request your free copy.
