The Siemens DCA Vantage^TM diabetes analyzer now meets the latest International Federation for Clinical Chemistry (IFCC) recommendations for dual reporting of hemoglobin A1c results, while also offering enhanced security, documentation control and results traceability.   

The new dual reporting function meets the changing requirements of Diabetologist societies and leading committees on HbA1c management. Physicians are able to display and print test results in both SI (mmol/mol) and in NGSP-derived units (%), using the IFCC-NGSP master equation, providing a standardized results reporting. 

Additionally, the analyzer can be programmed to automatically transfer all required data, including patient and QC results, operator ID and patient ID, to an electronic medical record and/or laboratory information system. The system also helps drive QC compliance and allows QC lock-out.  Improved results traceability aids physician troubleshooting and provides valuable data for audit purposes.
