Novitain Capping Solution

Micronic has launched the Novitain™ Post-Analytical Capping Solution for the secure sealing of sample collection tubes after analytical tests have been conducted.

The offer includes the Capcluster-50, 50-well format Storage Rack and Manual Capper CV750.

Blood and urine analysis are two of the most important diagnostic tools available to clinicians testing for evidence of infection, disease or abnormalities. Typically blood and urine is collected in vacuum tubes before being sent to a medical laboratory for testing. After these analytical tests, the vacuum tubes need to be securely stored for several days in case additional tests need to be performed.

Designed in conjunction with healthcare professionals, the Novitain TPE Push Caps offer an ideal solution for the secure short-term sealing of 13mm diameter sample collection tubes stored in a 50-well format. The Novitain Capcluster-50 retaining foil can be simply removed to leave each tube individually capped, in turn minimizing cross contamination. Each tube can be easily opened again using the tab attached to each cap without the need for additional tools.

Compatible with automated pre-analytical systems, the lightweight Novitain Rack has an open well side design to ensure equal temperature for all sample collection tubes during cooled storage. Drawing upon proprietary Micronic technology, Novitain Push Caps offer a rapid and economical solution for capping 50 racked sample tubes using the Novitain Manual Capper CV750.

Micronic’s goal is to advance research by serving scientists in finding solutions that contribute to a higher quality of life. We develop and manufacture a range of Dutch designed products to enhance the process of sample preservation and storage. Guided by its ethos of open communication – Micronic welcomes feedback and comments from its customers.
