Randox Toxicology will be hosting an educational workshop,
presenting a number of scientific posters and showcasing their comprehensive
range of forensic drug screening solutions at booth no. 303, allowing attendees
to learn more about our latest product developments.
The joint meeting is in association with two high profile
associations; The Society of Forensic Toxicologists (SOFT) and The
International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT) - both long
standing bodies in the forensic toxicology community. It is predicted that the
event will be attended by over one thousand international members, offering
opportunities to network, exchange information, attend educational workshops
and source laboratory solutions. Attending SOFT and TIAFT members are made up
of toxicologists, scientists, laboratory managers, technicians, medical
examiners, coroners, attorneys and researchers in the field of forensic
toxicology.
The Randox Toxicology workshop; The Evolution of Immunoassay
Drug Testing with multiplex Biochip Array Technology aims to educate attendees
on optimising laboratory resources and improving workflow through the
implementation of multiplex Biochip Array Technology. Key themes include
testing in alternative forensic matrices and high throughput immunoassay
screening ofsynthetic cannabinoids and other designer drugs on a fully
automated system. Forensic toxicologist, Dr Ashraf Mozayani from Harris County
Forensic Science Institute and Forensic Science PhD student, Poppy McLaughlin
from Bournemouth University (UK) will present studies that have been carried
out utilising Biochip Array Technology. Those wishing to attend the workshop
should register online at

as there are a limited number of spaces.
Conference attendees should not miss out on the chance to
visit the Randox Toxicology booth no. 303 in the exhibit hall, where their
complete range of forensic toxicology products will be on display. With
applications for a wide range of settings, there is a solution for everyone.
Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to enter a competition to win
an Apple iPad 2, which will be drawn after the event.
As a Tier I sponsor, Randox Toxicology is supporting a
number of activities ensuring that attendees get the most out of their time at
the Joint SOFT - TIAFT meeting. Chairman of the 2011 joint meeting Nikolas P.
Lemos has described the event as "an educational and rewarding scientific program
that will educate and inspire as well as a rejuvenating social calendar to
entertain all." To find out more about Randox Toxicology activities at 2011
